Description

uncryptic is a software consultancy that transforms the tangled into the transparent. We build systems, design interfaces, and engineer solutions that humans actually understand.

The world has enough cryptic software. Enough inscrutable interfaces, impenetrable documentation, and mystifying architectures. We write the other kind.

Clarity is not the absence of complexity, it is its mastery.

Options

Strip away accidental complexity. Preserve the essential. Every abstraction must earn its place.

--craft

Build with intention. No half-measures, no hand-waving, no “we’ll fix it later.” Ship work you’d sign your name to.

--purpose

Solve real problems for real people. Technology in service of understanding, not the reverse.

Prefer the straightforward path. A simple system that works beats an elegant one that doesn’t.

Exit Status

The uncryptic utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if your project remains cryptic. In practice, we don’t ship until the exit code is clean.
